The owners were very friendly and welcoming, offering complimentary tea and coffee upon arrival. the location was peaceful and quiet, nestled in the beautiful North Ayrshire countryside. the room was clean and tidy, and the breakfast was tasty and satisfying.
The blackout blinds in the room were ineffective, allowing the early morning sun to disturb our sleep. the bed was too soft, which caused discomfort for those with back issues.

My stay at Fox House was absolutely fantastic. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. I had requested an early check-in and my room was ready when I arrived, which was a great relief after a long journey. The breakfast service was top-notch, with a friendly smile and delicious food at a great price. The location of the guest house was incredibly peaceful and serene, perfect for unwinding and taking leisurely walks in the beautiful countryside surroundings. The rooms themselves were lovely, with a mix of old-style furnishings and modern amenities. The bathroom was spacious and well-maintained, with a picturesque view of the fields outside. The hosts, Gary and Alison, were warm and welcoming, providing complimentary tea. Their flexibility regarding our early check-in for a wedding was greatly appreciated. Despite a minor issue with the WiFi, I'm confident the hosts would have resolved it promptly, as they were genuinely concerned with providing the best experience for their guests. Although the bed was a little too soft for our liking, it was a minor inconvenience that wouldn't deter us from staying again. I highly recommend Fox House for a peaceful and enjoyable stay.

We had a wonderful stay at a lovely rural location just a short drive from Lochwinnoch. Check-in at Thirdpart Farm was easy and our room was spacious and comfortable, with a big comfy bed and a good ensuite. the highlight was the fantastic breakfast, which we could easily request for the days it suited our plans. Allison was a great host, making communication a breeze. Super value at an additional £5 pp. We were really happy with everything. Cons: Not obvious to find 😕.

There were a few minor downsides to our stay. the bed was slightly uncomfortable, and the lack of curtains meant that the room was very bright in the early morning, causing some sleep disturbance.

The bathroom in our luxury room at Fox House was beautifully designed, although a few simple improvements would have made it even better. The built-in lock on the bathroom door didn't align properly, making it difficult to lock. A simple bolt would have been more convenient and reliable. Additionally, the sink's hot water setting was a bit confusing, and we had to ask the owner for assistance. Unfortunately, the following morning there was no hot water from the sink at all. However, despite these small issues, the room was impeccably clean and well-maintained.
